FIGHT NIGHT 2

For the capstone, my fellow teammates reunited once again, and for aparrently the first time ever in the concentration in animation at ECU, did a collaborative work for a senior project before graduation. Once again, we chose to do an animated film production for an animated short. This time, we did some pre-planning work a month ahead of time over our winter break to get into animating as soon as we could. Instead of tackling whole sections, we chose to weave our scenes in between each other with the goal of making something more cohesive and test if we could all stay consistent with each other.

Fight Night 2 is a sequel to Fight Night, set in the same universe. We have a new lead, known as TV Kid, who is a novice boxer trying to make a name for himself. He approaches Bibi, a swift and deadly boxer, who is secretly partnered with a shrimp hidden in her hat that does all the skillful movements, with the catch being that he has bursts of brutality that she cannot typically control.
This is a match of prawn vs brawn, where TV kid fights not just move up the ranks, but to also save a new potential friend in the ring.

On top of doing some animated scenes and character designs, I was put in charge of compositing, adding shadows and overlays on top of the animation, as well as adjusting the volume and some of the sound effects we were able to crunch in before the deadline.

We, team Elves With Guns, are still in communication to this day, and are planning to make even more Fight Nights, even after we have graduated. The plan is to make it big as a web series.
